The airport kits, Or and Diamant
Moov Africa Togo's Kit Aéroport page, in French, says the kit is a special kit sold only at its agency at the AIGE airport, with a voice and data package and a systematic bonus on recharge. At the time of checking, the Kit Or cost 5,000 francs and gave 100 minutes to all local networks, 5 international minutes to a list of countries, 6 GB of data and 500 francs of main-account credit for 30 days, usable 24 hours a day. The Kit Diamant cost 10,000 francs and gave 240 local minutes, 10 international minutes, 15 GB, 1,000 francs of credit and 30 days.
The page lists out-of-bundle rates, including 60 francs per minute for national calls and 40 francs for a local SMS, and says you can add existing data packs, with benefits checked on *101*13#. The international destinations listed include Australia, Spain, Germany, China, Canada, the United States and France. The page does not say what identification a visitor needs, so ask at the agency.
4G packs, by the day, the week and the month
Moov Africa Togo's 4G internet page lists packs by their iZi names, activated with USSD codes. At the time of checking, iZi'Free gave 50 MB for one day for 100 francs, iZi'Cool 120 MB for 200 francs, iZi'Kif 300 MB for 3 days for 300 francs, iZi'Relax 600 MB for 3 days for 500 francs and iZi'Wik 2 GB for 7 days for 1,000 francs. A night pack, iZi'Moon, gave 4 GB between 10pm and 7am.
For longer stays, iZi'Small 1 gave 6 GB for 10 days at 2,500 francs, iZi'Medium 1 gave 15 GB for 15 days at 5,000 francs and iZi'Large gave 75 GB at 15,000 francs, with balance checks on *400*4#. The page says the packs are for all service classes except postpaid, and the price per megabyte falls as the pack grows, so the larger packs are the better value for a week or more.
Moov's eSIM page
Moov Africa Togo's eSIM page says an eSIM can be ordered immediately from a compatible phone without first having a conventional SIM, that the user needs a phone with an embedded SIM, a mobile internet plan and the choice of eSIM at subscription, and that on an iPhone the profile is downloaded by pointing the camera at the QR code. It lists compatible iPhone, iPad, Samsung, Huawei, Google Pixel, Oppo and Microsoft models, going back to the iPhone XR.
The page has a request form but gives no price or delivery time, and it does not say whether a visitor can order before arriving or what identification is needed, so we do not claim a download-before-you-fly eSIM. It also says that a phone can still hold two SIM cards, for example to have two phone numbers.
E-visa, the online registration certificate and the yellow fever certificate
The UK Foreign Office says you must have a visa to visit Togo, that a single-entry tourist visa is valid for 15 days, that you apply and pay for an e-visa at least six days before you arrive, and that you cannot get a visa on arrival. It says you must fill in an online registration certificate before you arrive in and depart from Togo, and that you must have a certificate to prove a yellow fever vaccination.
It says your passport must have an expiry date at least three months after you plan to leave. Keep the e-visa, the registration certificate and your vaccination certificate on your phone as well as on paper. Rules differ by nationality.
The north, crime in Lomé and photography
The UK Foreign Office, updated on 15 December 2025, advises against all travel to within 30 km of the border with Burkina Faso except Dapaong and the N1 highway leading to it from the south, and against all but essential travel to the rest of the Savanes region, and says terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Togo. It says violent crime, theft and pickpocketing are common, particularly on the beaches and markets of Lomé, and that card-paying machines are not reliable, so you may be asked to pay in cash.
It adds that it is illegal to take photographs of or near sensitive or official sites such as military installations and airport buildings, that political rallies and demonstrations can take place unexpectedly, and that strong ocean currents cause drownings each year. It advises carrying a copy of your passport photo page.
Emergency numbers
The UK Foreign Office lists 8200 for an ambulance, 118 for fire and 117 or 177 for police in Togo. Our Togo plan page covers data before you arrive.
